Trendsetter Awards Seeking Submissions

5.10.11
(ADAMS, Mass.) – The Berkshire Visitors Bureau is currently soliciting submissions for the Berkshire Trendsetter Awards, a new program to recognize distinctive and compelling marketing projects by area individuals, businesses, and communities.

“An annual marketing award program is a chance to showcase positive messages crafted by our businesses and their ability to constantly design and implement exceptional marketing strategies that make them innovators in their fields” said Lauri Klefos, President & CEO of the Berkshire Visitors Bureau.

Submissions are now being accepted for consideration in the categories of: Advertising, Online Marketing, Public Relations, Inspiring a Community, and Marketing on a Shoestring.

Deadline for submission is May 18, 2011.

Award winners will be announced at the Berkshires in Bloom Dream Auction & Award Celebration, June 7, at the Seven Hills Inn in Lenox. This evening brings together business and community leaders to celebrate the Berkshires and the creative efforts of the winning trendsetters.

In addition to the Berkshire Trendsetter awards, a special honoree will be recognized that evening for “Putting the Berkshires on the Map.”

“This designation will be given to a company or venue that has left an indelible mark on the region” stated Maureen O’Hanlon, a Partner in the Prism Partnership a highly regarded consulting firm serving the global hospitality industry and a member of the Bureau’s Board of Directors. “The honoree will be chosen because they have contributed substantially to increasing awareness of the Berkshires to new audiences, advancing the public’s perception and overall image of the Berkshires, and ultimately setting it apart from other destinations.”

Any business or community involved in creative marketing is eligible and is encouraged to submit an entry. Visit Berkshire Visitors Bureau and click on the “Berkshires in Bloom” button learn more about the awards and the celebration event.
