twiGs Branches Out

5.8.11

(LENOX, Mass.) - twiGs, the contemporary women's and children's clothing store in Lenox, has announced the addition of its new e-tail website, twigsclothes.com, in conjunction with the brick and mortar store’s eighth anniversary. Customers can purchase items directly from the site and have them shipped anywhere in the U.S.

“A website really makes a lot of sense for us. It's a great way to grow our business. Our out-of-town customers consistently ask if we have a website. They really want to shop at twiGs all year round. And our local customers can use the website to browse from home and purchase items or simply call or email if they’d like us to hold something,” explained twiGs' owner, Lisa Nappo.

When considering the overall look of the website, Nappo wanted the physical store featured prominently. "We have this really cool little shop in a beautiful New England town and I think our web designers, Housatonic Creative, were really effective in capturing that," she added.

In addition to photos and descriptions for each item, twigsclothes.com will include Wear IT With, style suggestions on ways to wear every style. "Our in-store customers appreciate that we hand pick the best and most wearable pieces from each designer, and that we offer fresh ideas on ways to incorporate items into their wardrobes. I wanted to offer our online customers the same service."

twiGs specializes in women's and children's contemporary clothing and accessories. Some of the brands the store carries are Vince, Current/Elliott, Splendid, Velvet, Citizens of Humanity, AG Jeans, James Perse, and CP Shades for women; and tea, Splendid, appaman, Ella Moss, and Mimi & Maggie, for kids. There are also jewelry designs from Berkshirites Stephanie Iverson and Saskia Larraz, as well as jewelry and scarves by Chan Luu.

Open since 2003, twiGs began as a children's clothing store, but quickly expanded to a larger space on Church Street and added women's clothing in 2005.
