I'M STANDING MY GROUND IN A NEW PAIR OF SOCKS

I'm really bumming out over what is likely to happen nationwide at the polls tomorrow. It makes me lethargic and apathetic, devoid of energy or enthusiasm to get anything done. It makes me just want to sit still or sleep to stop time.
But none of that is productive at all. So I've decided on a course of action. I'm going to buy a few new pairs of socks today. There is no feeling in the world like the one of standing your ground in a new pair of socks.
Plus, the purchase will help stimulate the economy, especially if hundreds or thousands do likewise in the next 24 hours.

Washington Hts is not the sock capitol of the world. And for a noble effort such as this, cheap and nasty socks won't do. So I'll join you as soon as I can buy attractive, comfortable, worthy socks.
