Agent Orange performs at Itam Lodge in Pittsfield on June 30

Due to popular demand, Agent Orange’s first appearance in Berkshire County is being moved to the Itam Lodge at 96 Waubeek Road in Pittsfield due to anticipation of a sell-out event. Originally scheduled to take place in Lenox, the overwhelming response has created the need for a larger venue.

In 1981, a trio of surf music loving punk rock kids released the extremely influential album, Living in Darkness on the Posh Boy Records label and inadvertently helped kick start the American Hardcore Punk movement. Agent Orange took a slightly different approach than that of Black Flag, D.O.A., Social Distortion and the Circle Jerks exchanging some of the shredding buzzsaw guitar sound for a surf melody, but the message was the same: take no prisoners, we’re doing it our way! It’s hard to believe it’s been over 25 years since Bloodstains, Everything Turns Grey, A Cry For Help in A World Gone Mad and the rest of the tracks on this legendary release were heard for the first time.

Agent Orange show no signs of slowing down anytime soon, their stop in Lenox is part of regional east coast tour that will also include several stops in the New York City and Baltimore areas. The concert in Lenox ranks right up there with Black Flag’s mid-1980s appearance in Adams and the Ramones playing the hockey rink at Williams College in the late 1980s. Several bands will be appearing with Agent Orange on Monday June 30th at the Itam Lodge in Pittsfield including a return from Springfield’s The Prozacs, The Pop Collars, Pr*ck B*st*rd, Millions Dead and Shock Treatment. Doors for the all-ages concert open at 7:00 PM and the cost is $12.00. The Itam Lodge is located at 96 Waubeek Road (on Pontoosuc Lake) in Pittsfield.
