In Gaza, Arabs prefer Israeli rule to Hamas

As reported in today's New York Times in "6 Palestinians Killed in Gaza at Fatah Rally," after a peaceful rally commemorating PLO leader Yasir Arafat turned into a bloodbath, with Hamas operatives wildly gunning down at least a half-dozen rally attendees, residents of Gaza turned against their terrorist overlords.
"At Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, Afaf Abu Tayeh, 45, was waiting by the morgue. She was there to look for two sons, ages 16 and 17. 'The Israelis were more merciful than then,' she said of Hamas. 'They beat children in front of my eyes.'
The article also reports that support for Hamas is at an all-time low, with the vast plurality of the Gaza population favoring Fatah, which rules the Arab population of Judea and Shomron.
