SETH ROGOVOY TO HEADLINE BOB DYLAN BIRTHDAY TRIBUTE 5/24

5.20.07
ROARING THUNDERING REVUE TO HEADLINE DYLAN TRIBUTE MAY 24 AT CLUB HELSINKI

(Great Barrington, Mass., May 19, 2007) -- Once again, the multigenerational ROARING THUNDERING REVUE, a 10-piece ensemble specializing in the music of Bob Dylan, will headline the annual FOREVER YOUNG birthday tribute to Bob Dylan on Thursday, May 24, at 8 p.m., at Club Helsinki.

In addition to ROARING THUNDERING, many other local performers and bands will perform the music of Bob Dylan that night.

ROARING THUNDERING features music critic, magazine editor, and Dylan biographer Seth Rogovoy in the role of Bob Dylan, as well as his son, Willie Watkins, on drums. Guitarist Bill Meier is the band's musical director as well as the father of bassist Matt Meier and vocalist Lizzie Meier. Lizzie's friend Erica Lome will also appear as a guest vocalist with the troupe, which will play some of Dylan's greatest hits from the 1960s as well as some choice obscurities from the mid-1970s.

Fleshing out the band, loosely patterned after Dylan's 1975-76 touring group, is guitarist Paul Rapp, saxophonist Dave "Jr. Walker" Barrett, keyboardist Luke Harrigan, and famed record producer and percussionist Tom "Dangerous" Werman.

The show is free, but seating is limited and the club is expected to be full to capacity on Thursday night.

In order to guarantee seating and admission, one needs to make dinner reservations at Club Helsinki by calling 413.528.3394.
