when i left my office in downtown Great Barrington, Mass., this evening, there was one of those satellite TV vans parked across the street from Berkshire Bank, presumably doing an on the scene report on the remarkable one foot of snow we received today.
This is news?
This is the Berkshires.
We get snow in winter.
One foot is nothing.
Let's get some perspective, please.
Snow, shmow!! C'mon folks, I am from Miss Michigan, and have seen snow fall my whole life. News? I do not think so, I saw all these reports on the news regarding such, there was a man, covered in snow becuase he was cleaning his car off, in the snow fall, the segment was all about how snowy his jacket was...it happens!! More importantly how about the foster mother in her 80's who forced her 11 year old foster child to sleep with her? That my friend's is more appropriate for "news"...
