Time to declare inter-species war

Enough is enough. We now know that birds are a threat to human existence -- no less a threat than Saddam Hussein or Osama Bin Laden. We need to marshal all our forces, all our human intelligence, to eliminate the entire species of bird. Shotguns need to be issued to all citizens capable of aiming a firearm upwards. Helicopters need to drench treetops in glue so that birds will land and get stuck, making them easy targets -- sitting ducks, if you will.
Some day the actions earlier this week of the Pittsfield, Mass., police officers who slaughtered two wild turkeys will be hailed as the shots heard 'round the world in the war to end all wars.
It's us against them.

Right on! The birds are giving us that flu thing, too,right? Our President said the other day that he might have to call in the military to deal with the bird flu. We should all be very afraid, and support the Commander in Chief. Birds always struck me as creepy, anyway. Sort of like clowns or smooth jazz musicians.
Terminate them. With extreme prejudice.
