[EAGLE WATCH] Blaming the victim
5.24.09
The main editorial in today's Berkshire Eagle demonstrates twisted logic and the worst sort of blaming-the-victim mentality, when it says the "entire foundation" of the terrorist organization Hamas "is built upon Israeli intransigence."
By that logic, the entire foundation of Al-Qaeda is built upon U.S. intransigence, and we are to blame for 9/11.
Where is the moral equivalence?
There is none, of course, on the Berkshire Eagle's editorial page. Especially when the equivalent is the Jewish state.
