RATATOUILLE
I'm no great fan of computer-generated animated films, rodents, and ESPECIALLY not rodents mixed with food. So if you told me I'd like the feature-length cartoon, RATATOUILLE -- which combines all these -- I'd say you're nuts.
The only thing that got me to the film was an attempt at father-son bonding. And my son loved it; laughed hysterically.
But the joke was on me. I loved it, too. This is an incredibly witty, intelligent movie. Somehow you're able to move past the disgusting rodent factor early on, and then get swept into the cute story of how a rat becomes the greatest chef in Paris.
The film boasts great authenticity that foodies will love. And I bet it winds up on many critics' Top 10 lists at the end of the year. Including mine.

This was simply the most enjoyable movie I have seen in a very long time.
