This is the perfect musical for people who hate musicals. While almost entirely sung through almost like a rock opera this non-starter romance among two musicians is propelled by totally organic musical bits, including street-busking, songwriting sessions, and a recording session. The performances are touching and low-key, the ambiance is the antithesis of MTV, and, fortunately, the music is great.
