Sustainable agriculture focus of forum on June 4

5.22.06
(Great Barrington, Mass., May 18, 2006) -- A panel of regional experts, including Regional Farm and Food Project executive director Billie Best; Old Inn on the Green chef/owner Peter Platt; Dominic Palumbo of Moon in the Pond Farm; and photographer Jason Houston, will discuss From Farm to Table: Eating Locally, on Sunday, June 4, at 11 a.m., at the Triplex Cinema, part of The Rest of the Story series, the free public forum co-presented by Berkshire Living and the Triplex.

The forum, moderated by Berkshire Living editor-in-chief Seth Rogovoy, will look at ways in which various organizations, restaurants, and businesses are making efforts to build supply and demand for local foods and to promote sustainable agriculture. The event grows out of the cover story in the June issue of Berkshire Living about High Lawn Farm in Lee, the region’s only remaining family-owned dairy farm.

Each month, the Triplex and Berkshire Living, an award-winning regional lifestyle and culture magazine, join forces to present free public forums based on an article running in the concurrent issue of the magazine. For more information, call Berkshire Living at 413.528.3600.
