[Eagle Watch] Paper finally clarifies longstanding misperception about Dylan concert promoter

After nearly a year of misstatements and misconceptions, the role of local concert promoter Gene Fein in bringing Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson to Wahconah Park in Pittsfield, Mass., last summer was finally clarified in a story in this morning's Berkshire Eagle.
In "Promoter denies rumors," the Eagle correctly identified JAM and Mass Concerts of eastern Massachusetts as the key concert promoters who subcontracted the local arrangements and city liaison work to Fein, best known for his Berkshire Music Glen series at Bousquet Ski Area in 2004 that brought such big names as KC and the Sunshine Band and the Doobie Brothers to small audiences in Pittsfield for the first time ever.
As speculation runs amok over just what stars Fein plans to bring to Wahconah in August, the latest rumors of a bill featuring Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young are totally unsubstantiated.
