Bang on a Can composer Michael Gordon channels his inner Brian Eno on this new recording of electro-acoustic instrumentals that wouldn’t sound out of place on an album by David Bowie or Moby. The rhythms underneath the compositions nod variously to drums ‘n bass, trip hop, industrial and Velvet Underground-inspired underground rock, and some of them might even work as dance tracks or in the ambient chill-out room.
