“Strange Seasons” (Trampoline)

Like Wilco, rock group Nadine draws equally on a Beatles pop palette and a rootsy, Neil Young-meets-The-Band aesthetic. Lead singer Adam Reichmann has a yearning tenor that at times recalls Levon Helm, but songs like “Bad at Goodbyes,” with its echoey guitars and drippy keyboards, puts the group solidly in psychedelic territory. The St. Louis-based group’s catchy, organic, retro-Americana-rock should appeal to fans of the Wallflowers and Pete Yorn. [ 1/4/04 ]
